Disembarkation; Travel from Jacksonville, Florida to Charlotte, North Carolina
We, once again, had priority status and were among the first group to disembark in the morning. The process was fairly painless. We cleared out of our room and brought our luggage (all carry-ons) to the public waiting area at 7:30a, waited to be dismissed, disembarked, went through customs, and we were ordering our Lyft by 8:15a.
We were at the airport by 8:45a with the whole day ahead of us before our first flight, overnight layover, and final flight home. This was the best deal we could get with points on the return flight, so we went with it.
John did contact customer service when we arrived at the airport to see if we could switch to anything earlier or direct, but it was a no go.
Waiting at the airport for 8 hours really wasn't as bad as it sounds. We knew it was coming, so we all brought books and the kids had their Nintendo DSs. We also had a leisurely lunch at Chili's which killed some time.

We landed in Charlotte at about 6:20p, ate a quick dinner in the airport, took the shuttle to the hotel, set our alarm for 3:40a, and slept in our clothes.
