This trip just kinda manifested itself. We started toying with the idea less than a month ago because 2 of our 3 kids are really into Paris at the moment (thanks to Miraculous and Heartstopper).
We typically avoid cities and crowds plus we weren't sure we could fit the expense of a city vacation into the budget. But, we looked into it, just to see.

It turned out that we found a great deal on flights over the kids' random 5-day Fall Break from school. We're talking less than half the airfare for going over any of their other school breaks and a fraction of the cost for going during the highest peak times.
But, there was only 1 flight that really worked with the timing at that price. So, we booked it! Waiting would have likely meant the price changing or us not being able to get 5 seats together. But I'm not sure we've ever gone from vague idea to booking airfare for any trip so fast as we did this time!
Our two Paris-enthusiasts are thrilled!
Time to brush up on my French (which I haven't done since sophomore year of high school)!
