St Louis 2022 Trip Report

September 9-11

For our Anniversary Get-Away, this year, we took a weekend road trip to St Louis. We've been to St Louis multiple times though the years, so we were not really interested in seeing the sights this time around. Our reason for heading there was to see Twenty One Pilots in concert at the Enterprise Center.

And, making it even more of an adventure, we took the EV. It was it's farthest road trip, to date! And we managed to do it entirely with free chargers!

We stayed at the Comfort Inn in Edwardsville, Illinois, as it was the best value and we could earn points. The room was what we've come to expect from our experience with Choice Hotels and served us well for this trip.

And while we didn't do any touristy sightseeing in the city, we did eat at some yummy local spots and enjoyed a couple walks at a local nature trail.

The best meal of the trip was at Wang Gang Asian Eats. Those Loaded Mashed Potatoes Wontons were an experience! They seem to be a secret menu item because they were not listed but when we asked, they were available.

On Saturday, we drove into St Louis and parked at Union Station (where we did have to pay for parking but did not have to pay anything extra to use the chargers). Union Station looked like a fun area to explore but we just walked through on our way to the concert.

Twenty One Pilots put on a fantastic show, well worth the trip. And it was a great little get-away weekend for us.
