June 8
at Interstate State Park
With the temps forecasted to reach into the 90s again, we decided to go for our hike early. The trail had a head near our campsite and we hiked along the river, climbing up and then back down in elevation, until we reached the glacial potholes area.

It was starting to get hot by time we made it back to the RV but we still had the entire day ahead of us. We took some time to cool off and recoup. Then, after lunch, John and the kids attempted to go canoeing. The water level was a bit too low for the 4 of them in one canoe – and it was hot – so they didn't stay out long.
We spent the hottest part of the day in the RV's AC, only coming out to make some campfire mac n' cheese for dinner and our nightly s'mores.
